In Steelworks Štore we cast billets from 100 to 200 mm. The quality of the end product depends from the macrostructure of the billets. The EMS has a great influence on the crystallization of billets. ...In our work we examined this influence by casting billets 180 x 180 mm. The former results showed the improvement of quality, but the final results will show what we really get with this treatment of billets in the first phase of the crystallization.
