The problem of stickies in paper recycling

Sticky impurities originating from different raw materials, may cause serious troubles in paper production. They accumulate on different parats of paper machine as pitch deposits and cause the ...formation of dark spots on paper surface, which leads to lower quality and price of final products. Chemical characterization of impurities, their origin and technological parameters promoting their precipitation are of the utmost importance in fighting pitch problems. For identification and chemical characterization of contaminants various analytical techniques are used (GC, FTIR, SEC,...).
