Porting Existing MATLAB Applications to the Cloud using the mOSAIC Platform [Elektronski vir]

Many sophisticated MATLAB applications have been built in the course of the past decades that solve complex engineering problems. Porting such applications to the Cloud and making them available to ...the professional communities or general public has proven to be a complex task. In this paper, we present a generic framework for porting such applications to the Cloud where only smallmodification of existing code is needed to fully embrace cloudcapabilities. Our solution is based on the hybrid mOSAIC Cloud computing platform, which creates PaaS model on top of an arbitrary IaaS Cloud provider while still allowing control over the underlying system. The feasibility of our approach is demonstrated by porting to the Cloud an existing application in MATLAB, which is used for analysis of structures under static loading.
