  • 3D modeliranje enofaznega transformatorja za izračun dinamičnih odzivov [Elektronski vir]
Pišek, Peter, 1979- ; Stojan, David
The present paper describes a 3D modeling of a singlephase transformer where the alternative numerical approach for the study of transient behaviour has been used. The edge finite element method ... coupled to electric circuit has shown its usefulness particularly when the end-coil effects are involved. A detailed 3D nonlinear finite element model of a single phase transformer was built where the primary and secondary voltage-fed windings were modeled by massive conductors (each coil modeled separately). Major problems during modeling are pointed out and discussed. The model was built in a manner of variable load capability, so the multiple dynamic responses could be analyzed during one simulation process. At the end a simulated response is shown and compared to the measured result. The focus in this work is placed on the modeling itself using the commercial software package Ansys Workbench v11. The step size (computation time) and the mesh size (number of elements) influence have been investigated.
