On vertical displacements of single cracked beams under tension load - application of simple computational model in simply supported beams

The paper considers the computation of transverse displacements of single cracked slender beam elements subjected to axial tensile force. The computational model considers the crack as a rotational ...spring connecting uncracked parts. The transverse displacements are obtained as solutions of differential equations. The obtained numerical values of transverse displacements are equivalent to results obtained by implementing hige finite element meshes.
