Rheological properties of nanocomposites based on polyesters [Elektronski vir]

The effect of clay dispersion on the rheological properties of polyester basednanocomposites was investigated. For the study different types of commercial organo-nano clays were employed. All ...composites have been successfully prepared by melt blending. Before taking the rheological measurements with an advanced Rheometric Expansion System (ARES Rheometric Scientific) different properties of the composites were characterized. Energy Filtering Transmision Electron Microscopy (EFTEM) was used to study the morphology at different length scales. Investigations with differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) and dynamic mechanical thermal analysis (DMTA) as well as tensile tests showed the different improvement of properties, due to the different incorporation of organo-clays in the polymer matrix.
