    The report deals with the results of 12-months research and development on hand of the data base required for the designing process. The model of the designing data base is complemented with ... improvements in the organisation of the base by dividing it into a definition - and an information data file. This model warrants a relatively great independence from the data base management system ; it also facilitates very good interactive communication. The applicability of the model is supported with an example of data on threads and standard profile semiproducts. A further computer facility for designers is the implementation of the program package for computing bevel gears. Both solutions are applicable independently or within the CAD system.
