Kak svjaazany kontrol' i doverie [Elektronski vir] : nekotorye rezul'taty issledovanija rossijskoslovenskogo delovogo partnerstva = How control and trust are interconnected : several results of studying the Russian-Slovenian business partnership

The problem of trust in an international business partnership is not only the problem of business success but also, in the first place, the issue of its security. A cross-cultural Russian-Slovenian ...study on what the linkage between confidence in a business partner and transaction monitoring is, revealed the following findings. First, trust is associated with the expected probability that the partners respect their commitments. Second, the difference between the real and the ideal: transaction monitoring is higher with Russians than with Slovenians. Another conclusion is that when at risk, partners tend to strengthen their control over the transaction and to lessen their partners' control, and the Russian have a more pronounced tendency than the Slovenian. Finally, the probability of the "illusion of control" in international business transactions is quite high.
