  • Lokalno zdravljenje z antibiotiki v dermatologiji = Topical antibiotic treatment in dermatology
    Dragoš, Vlasta
Topical antibiotics are indicated in the treatment of non-widespread impetigo contagiosa caused by staphylococci and streptococci. Secondary infection by grampositive and gramnegative bacteria can ... develop in several other dermatoses(ectoparasitosis, viral and fungal skin diseases, atopic dermatitis, eczema vulgare and bullous dermatosis). The same antibiotics are approprate for the their treatment as well. They have broad-spectrum activity agains several grampositive and gramnegative bacteria. Before beginning medical treatment a bacterial culture is recommended. Systemic antibiotics arepreferred for widespread or deep skin leisons. In patients who long term topical antibiotics, bacterial resistance or allergic contact dermatitis must be considered. Topical antibiotics are successfully used in the treatment of some other dermatoses which are not primarily cuased by bacteria (acne vulgaris and rosacea).
