    An analysis of different methods for prerotation flow measurements in the entrance pipe of radial pumps is presented. The appearance of prerotation flow is the result of a complicated fluid flow ... model which appears as a consequence of the pump operating out of design point and reduce the pump efficiency. The goal of the paper is in estimating the adequate measuring method, taking into account the inconvenience of conventional Laser-Doppler anemometry. Therefore, two measuring methods - multiblade (ASB) and single blade anemometer (ASSB) are introduced, analysed and compared with the well-known 2-channel hot wire anemometry (HWA). The advantages of the introduced measuring system ASB are its simple construction and low price. The direction and the swirl flow intensirty in the entrance pipe pf radial pumps and fans, using this method, could be measured.
