Coupled current and thermal problem in the motor protection switch; verification calculated temperatures with measured ones

The aim of our work was to produce a simulation model of Motor Protection Switch (MPS) for stationary coupled calculation of current and temperature field using the finite element method (FEM) and ...determine the parts of the MPS which are overheated. The verification of the. model has been performed using the measuring of temperatures on Mi) MPSs samples with the thermocouples.
