It has been estimated that in the next 15 years 75 % of the industrial products would be innovative in their properties, behavior and applications. Ozone depletion and green house effect are the ...major existing environmental problems and textile/clothing items should be effective in their protective properties for outdoor activities. Therefore it is important to develop new effective protection means of high solar radiation and extreme changes weather conditions. Health problems associated with the exposure to solar radiation and unusually high temperatures during summer months are skin dryness, erythema, melanoma and skin cancer, among others. The new summer clothes should be light worn, offer wear comfort, have good breathability/air permeability and maximum UPF value.
