Device for stretching contractures in muscular dystrophy patients

This paper presents the device which was invented by the author and is useful for the stretching of contractures in muscular dystrophy patients. It enables simultaneous stretching of all the ...contracted muscles crucial for maintaining upright posture and ambulation. By doing this, the relevant joints return to their physiological position, the central gravity axis of the body resuming its normal position, too. Besides stretching contractures this device also enables active and passive exercising of the affected muscles. By the use of the device exercises for strengthening the affected muscles and stretching of the contractures can be performed simultaneously. And these are the two most significant moments in the rehabilitation of muscular disorders.
