  • The determining of heat circumstances in the MPS considering air flow

    In this work, the determination of heat circumstances in the motor protection switch (MPS), with consideration of the air flow inside the switch, is presented. For calculation of the temperature ... circumstances the finite element method (FEM) was used. Because of the temperature dependent material properties and the geometrical peculiarity of the model, the sequential procedure for calculation of the heat circumstances was developed. The peculiarity of the model is namely in the inside motion of air separated into two domains. These two domains are completely separated physically, but they have an indirect influence on each other through the thermal conductivity of partition walls.
