  • Kakovost vode v nekaterih salmonidnih ribogojnicah v Sloveniji = Water quality in some salmonid fish farms in Slovenia

    In this survey the measurements of physical and chemical parameters of water in salmonid fish farms were studied. The aim of this survey was to perceive whether water sources are suitable for ... salmonid fish farming and also what kind of risk salmonid fish farming can represent for the environment. Dissolved oxygen (O2), temperature (degrees C), chemical oxygen demand (COD), biological oxygen demand (BOD), ammonia (NH3), nitrites, nitrates, pH and iron(Fe) in water of salmonid fish farms were evaluated at three placesč at the inlet, in the middle of the farm and at the outlet of the farm. In the research also the impact of water quality to diseases outbreaks was followed. Most of the values were within the limits of the allowed standards for fish breeding. The exceptions were the values of ammonia, which were higher than allowed in most cases.
