  • A study of interactions within pigmented melamine-alkyd coating assemblies

    The technique of inverse gas chromatography can be successfully applied tot the characterisation of high soids melamine-alkyd formulations and their components. However, in order that unambiguous ... interpetations are developed, supporting information is required such as that provided by electron microscopy, thermal analysis and surface wetting studies. Here we supply evidence which provides support for our inverse gas chromatography studies. This has enabled us to draw conclusions concerning the nature of the interactions which are a feature of the formulation, the mobile coating and the cured system.
