  • Optimization model of the environmentally oriented business process

    In the paper, some possibilities of including an integrated approach to environmental improvement into the multiphase production process in small and medium-sized enterprises are presented. The ... linear mixed integer optimization model of the multiphase business process for evaluation of environmental management decisions is constructed. If environmental protection is connected with investments, the best combination of projects is selected according the maximal rate of return by means of a fractional piecewise linear optimization. The risk is estimated by the standard deviation of the rate of return by perfoming a simulation of the business process after the realization of selected investment projects. The decision making method including environmental management is illustrated by an example from processing industry.
