    Headache can prove to be one of the manifestations of damage to the cervical spine. Pain stemming from the cervical spine can be referred to the frontal and orbital region. Several varieties of ... cervical headache are described, according m its origin and the characteristics of the pain, varying from dull to lancinating quality. Cervicogenic headache is not generally accepted as an independent entity and the diagnosis of cervical migraine is untenable nowadays. Cervical spondylosis is frequently blamed for causing headache. However, the involvement of the upper cervical vertebrae is necessary for a causal relationship. Therapeutic approaches depend on the cause and intensify of the pain. The combintation of drugs and physical measures is most common local use of anaesthetic agents might be helpful and surgical treatment is necessary in individual cases.
