Best measurement capability check in the field of long gauge block calibration by international intercomparisons

The calibration procedure for long gauge blocks (125 mm to 1000 mm) that has been developed in the Laboratory for Production Measurement in Maribor has been accredited in 1998. Since then, the stated ...best measurement capability (BMC) has been checked by many international comparisons with other accredited laboratories and also by one intercomparison within Euromet projects. In 2004, the calibration measurement capability (CMC) has been reviewed by the Euromet expert group. Positive evaluation results, based mainly on comparion results, will enable our CMC to be entered into the BIPM worldwide database. This article will present the most important comparison results as well as the analysis of BMC.
