Reševanje eksternih eliptičnih problemov z iterativnim spreminjanjem fiktivnih robnih pogojev : doktorska disertacijaPremrov, Miroslav, 1967-A new method for solving exterior elliptic problems is presented in this dissertation thesis. A radiation condition as the most important boundary condition in exterior boundary value problem is ... presented on a soil-structure interaction problem. In the presented method the solving of exterior boundary value problem is transfered by introducing a fictive boundary to an iterative solving of interior boundary value problem. Thus a stronger possibility of use with respect to geometrical and material properties of medium and a possibility of optionally accurate approach to the exact solution are assured.This possibility depends in the location of the fictive boundary, treated wave frequency and selected DtN (Dirichlet to Neumann) operator which simulates a halfspace outside the fictive boundary. By introducing the fictive boundary, the care of the problem is transmitted to satifying suitable complex boundary conditions on this boundary which must simulate to the best a radiation condition in a halfspace outside the fictive boundary. These complex boundary conditions are determinated iteratively by projecting the solutions to the DtN operator due to different fictive boundary conditions in interior boundary value problem. The finite computational domain and DtN operator are not changed between iterations, only fictive boundary conditions are changed. It is an important fact that DtN operator is not introduced in the finite element formulation, thus avoiding some continuous requirements between finite elements. The method is presented by the example of analitical solving of out of plane waving in space continuous systems for which there exist available analitical solutions. Yet, the method can also be used for other forms of waving. With suitable modifications, it is applicable to solving finite domains of large dimensions as well. The described computation procedure is simple.
