The paper discusses the requirements a computer program has to fulfil during the modelling and calculation of structures in civil engineering in conditions of project work, where experts from various ...fields and companies are involved. The road room layout verification and visualization of a subcestion of the future motorway Lenart-Cogetinci were used as an example to show the linking of project teams from different companies in the implementation of the project and the problems arising from the actual use of various computer programs. The calculation of a hybrid connection in the steel frame of an industrial hall serves to demonstrate the use of various computer programs for structural modelling and calculation.
