    HUNGARIAN REFUGEE ISSUES IN 1956 - THE CASE OF YUGOSLAVIA AND SLOVENIA. The article is a short srvey of the results of the Target Research Project " Comparative study of the security system in the ... crisis situation with regard to refugee issues: the problem of Hungarian refugees in Slovenia after WWII and particularly in the years 1956 to 1957", dealing with Hungarian refugee issues in Slovenia in the period, presented from a wider perspective. Within the international context and based on German, Austrian, Yugoslav and Slovene archives and literature, the dtudy present Yugoslav-Hungarian and Yugoslav-Soviet relations in the light of the 1956 Hungarian revolution and its impact in Slovenia ans Yugoslavia. The emphasis is on the Hungarian refugee issues in Yugoslavia and Slovenia, particularly on the arrival of refugeesto Yugoslavia, their settling in camps, along with the system and financing of the latter. Some 20.000 Hungarian refugees sought shelter in Yugoslavia, which is about one tenth of all refugees who left Hungarian after the suppression of the revolution. 2.361 refugees werw placedin camps inthe territory of Slovenia. Apart from the archives, newspapers and other literature, the authors also made use of the method of in-depth interviews.
