  • New regulation of stationary source emission according to negotiations with EU

    Based on the new Environment Protection Law, in use since 1993, series of decrees about limitations of air pollution emissions from stationary sources were adopted in November 1994. Later (in ... December 1996) regulation of emission monitoring was adopted. According to this regulation the monitoring obligation, controlling frequency, measuring methods, as well as the way of result interpretation was defined. At the same place the procedure for nomination of controlling institution, by which the monitoring can only be performed, was also prescribed. After 2004 accreditation based on EN 45000 standards series will be obligated for this kind of institutions. During last years some changes of existing and some new regulations were adopted because of negotiations between Slovenia end EU. In present paper the content and main objectives of the related decrees and regulation will be presented. The procedure of nomination and first implementations will be discussed. The application of these regulations on practical case of emission monitoring froman industrial emission source will be described.
