  • Zur Plattentheorie - die Idee A. C. Stevensons und ihr eine Verallgemeinerung
Lep, Jože ; Kumperščak, Vitodrag ; Brešar, France
The authors of this contribution report on their researches in the theory of plates. As by Stevenson, the semi inverse method is used, i.e. the component /sigma/z of the stress tensor is not ... neglected (as it was by Kirchoff). It is assumed that the component /sigma/z changes with the z coordinate as a polynomial of an appropriate degree. This assumption is proved to be correct when the loading of the upper face of the plate is n-times harmonic. The case n=l, developed by Stevenson (who did not include the boundary problems as M. Muršič and B. Krušič from Ljubljana and F. Brešar, V. Kumperščak and J. Lep from Maribor did), is presented in a simplified form due to the efforts of F. Brešar and J. Lep. The stress tensor components, the displacement components as well as some other quantities are expressed by five analytic functions. Furthermore, the authors report on the generalization of n times harmonic loading (n is equal to, is greater than 2) and present some results.
