    Construction details have high impact on noise level and noise pleasantness when it comes to differentiation between top segment products. Blowers and fans are for many household appliances the ... dominant source of noise which transmits to the surrounding environment over air and structure. This paper presents the noise reduction measures for air and structural noise transmission paths. A simple experimental method to evaluate frequency dependent Young's modulus and damping factor by utilizing the measured complex transmissibility of single degree of freedom system is presented. Measured dynamic Young's modulus and damping factor are compared with measuredpower spectrum of vacuum cleaner appliance. Furthermore impacts of different airflow paths on noise frequency spectra are given.
