    Apparatus and method for monitoring melt fiberization solves technical problem of determining a fraction of melt which is thrown onto a rotating wheel to be solidified in form of threads which are ... blown off said rotating wheel, and what is a fraction of non-solidified drops which are passed to the second rotating wheel and thrown back to the first rotating wheel by means of a system for mineral wool melt fiberization monitoring. The system monitors melt film velocity slip against the rotating wheels, melt ligament spacing on melt film and the dynamics of the melt stream falling onto the first rotating wheel. System for the monitoring of mineral wool melt fiberization comprises of a high speed digital camera (6) and a computer (7) to which the grayscale process images are transmitted continuously and in real time. Fiberization process visualization area includes the middle and upper part of the first rotating wheel (1) where the melt film (2) is observed as well as the area directly above the wheel where the melt stream (4) falling from the melt tank (3) falls onto the first rotating wheel. The camera is placed at the side of the rotating wheels opposite from the fiber transport area in the settling chamber (5) to prevent damage and contamination by the hot fibrous flow.
