    The article presents some results of a wider investigation into the standpoints of parents and kindergarten teachers concerning education in kindergartens and the empathy of kindergarten teachers as ... elements of the hidden curriculum of institutional pre-school education in Slovenia. The first part of the article presents the hidden curriculum in kindergartens and empathy as an element of the hidden curriculum. The second part provides the results of research on the empathy of teachers of preschool (kindergarten) children as an important element of the hidden curriculum in kindergarten children, and focused on the empathy of teachers and its role in the education process. Four dimensions of empathy were identified: social self-trust, calmness, sensivity and non-conformism. Each dimension by itself and all the factors together contribute to knowlwdge of the empathy of teachers, which clearly effects the stimulation of the development of empathic communication between teachers, children and parents in the kindergarten
