  • Correlation between the relaxation and deformation of fabrics containing elastane yarn

    This paper deals with the correlation between the relaxation and deformation of fabrics containing elastane yarn as a consequence of acting tensile forces during the spreading process. In the first ... part of the paper, the responses of fabric containing elastane yarn under constant deformation, where stress relaxation occurs, were analysed. Contrarily, we studied the deformation of fabric on the removal of load after the spreading process. In the contribution the correlation between the parameters of mechanical models that explain the stress relaxation curve and the value of deformation of the laid fabric after spreading are investigated. The results of our research show that a correlation exists between the deformation of fabric and relaxation time and the coefficient of nonlinear spring as the parameters of fitted three-component Maxwell model with parallel nonlinear spring.
