    Janeš, Aleksander ; Klančar, Andreja
This study investigates preservice teachers’ knowledge and skills, use of digital technology and attitudes towards technology in the educational setting. Therefore, the survey goal was to identify ... the most influential factors for the future use of digital tools in preservice teachers’ pedagogical work. The sample included 85 answers out of 150 sent surveys, which were analyzed descriptively and using statistical methods. Analysis findings pointed to variables of computer use and application of tools in the future use of digital tools. The most influential factors in this context seem to be knowledge and skills about digital tools and attitude towards digital tools. The main findings show that the sample of preservice teachers is a relatively young generation that, uses computer and digital tools frequently and will use digital tools when working with pupils in primary education. The paper’s main contribution is in the identification of influential factors that outline the necessity of implementing digital tools in pedagogical work. The limitations of the research are mainly that only one measurement was performed on the population of all years of undergraduate study of preservice teachers at the Faculty of Education, University of Primorska, Slovenia. In future research, it is necessary to perform further measurements and comparisons between years of study, as well as measurements and comparisons between study programs.
