    The following article presents professional competence of kindergarten teachers. The analysis is based on European documents regarding professional competence of teachers. Empirical section presents ... a study of how the teachers of kindergarten children, with years of practical experience, evaluate the importance of individual competences in the field of kindergarten education, which are important for the autonomy of kindergarten children in praxis. Based on the results of the study we conclude that the established competences belong in the fields of: professionalism, communication, perception and cooperation and the field of relationships towards own praxis.
