    The text is about the possibilities of bringing together teaching puppetry with other areas of preschool (kindergarten) curriculum. Above all, it is concerned with the experience of ma king puppets ... out of waste material, and this experience successfully brings together puppets and nature, together with visual arts which are an integral part of puppetry it self. The toy-puppets which children make with their own hands, with the help of their kindergarten teacher, greatly contribute to the construction of the child's positive self-image. Working with waste material offers much more than just making puppets. It offers children an insight into the problems of their environment, sorting and recycling waste material, which are areas in which they can successfully participate themselves.
