  • The NLP optimization of composite I beams [Elektronski vir] = Optimizacija spregnutih I nosača s NLP

    The paper presents the optimization of the composite beams, designed from reinforced concrete slab and duo-symmetrical welded I sections. The optimization was performedby the Non-linear Programming ... approach, NLP. The cost objective function of the self manufacturing material and labour costs was subjected to the design, stress, resistanceand deflection (in)equality constraints in order to satisfy the requirements of both the ultimate and the serviceability limit states. The composite structure was designed in accordance with Eurocode 4. The paper includes the theoretical basis and a practical example with the results of the cost optimization.
