    The purpose of the present article is to highlight the motor relearning approach to physiotherapy interventions. In the article the stages of motor learning are described: the cognitive, associative ... and autonomous. The stages of motor learning are followed by factors that influence the process of motor learning. The characteristics of.` practise, feedback information, transfer oflearning, motivation, instructions and environmental factors are described. The three different levels of description of move ments: action, movement and neuromotor processes are explained. Often used assessment protocols are briefly described. At conclusion the results of some clinical studies are presented.
