    Timely recognition and identification of risky behaviors is important, in order to prevent their further deterioration, which will result in behavioral problems or behavioral disorders; therefore, ... educational institutions can use different methods related to psychological, behavioral, risk and needs assessment, as well as the assessment of risk factors. The purpose of this work is to determine risky behaviors that occur with children in educational institutions of early and preschool age, to define indicators of behavioral problems, and methods used for their early recognition and identification. According to the results of the conducted research, externalizing ways of behaving are most often observed in children at educational institutions, while internalizing ways of behaving, which are more difficult to observe, mostly go unnoticed. Different methods aimed at recognizing and identifying externalizing behavior in children, their strong and weak sides, weaknesses, difficulties and developmental assessments have been used, although not very often, due to a lack of continuity in the work and observation process, and mostly, in educational institutions that have a greater number of children, improvements in behavior are not subsequently checked, while at others, on the other hand, subsequent checks take place at the discretion of the professional team or educators.
