  • Napovedovanje povezav v omrežju deskriptorjev MeSH : primer uporabe za odkrivanje zakonitosti iz literature = Link prediction in the MeSH descriptors network : application to literature-based discovery

    Discovery of potential new knowledge is presented as the problem of link prediction of edges between nodes that are not inherently connected. The greater the similarity between a pair of nodes, the ... greater the likelihood that the link will be established. To illustrate the proposed approach we built a large-scale real network of co-occurring MeSH descriptors based on the MEDLINE bibliographical database. Link prediction was performed using node similarity computed using number of common neighbors, Jaccard and Adamic/Adar coefficients, and preferential attachment. The experimental results showed good predictive performance.
