    The aim of this study is to help us understand the way that construction companies in Prishtina and its region approach the recruitment and selection processes the importance of these processes for ... them. In this study we will understand who's responsible for the management of human resources, what steps do the construction companies take before they make the decision that there's a need for a new employee, how do they decide if the candidate is the right one for the position and the methods used during the selection process and in the end we will make a comparison between the companies that are subject to our study to understand which of them is more organized when it comes down to the recruitment and selection of the new staff. The research method used in this study is the qualitative method with structured interviews. The total number of the companies subjected to the interviews is 5 and the responders are the people responsible for the selection and recruitment processes of the companies in order to answer our research question "Which are the methods used by the construction companies in Prishtina and its region that help find the most effective staff thus increasing the productivity of the companies?" After that we will analyze and discuss the results taken from the interviews and in the end we will give our recommendations about the mistakes done by the construction companies and the ways they can make the processes of selection and recruitment more effective.
