    The main purpose of this project is to research and address issues related to property inheritance rights of women in Kosovo. This diploma thesis shall study the influence of customary traditions, ... education, difficulties and positions of women in Kosovo in terms of property and inheritance rights. This thesis shall mainly focus on Kosovo and historical development of property rights, customary and inheritance law, which have present with the Albanians in the past and the position of women in the society. This Diploma thesis shall strive to provide a theoretical analysis on the impact of conventional stances and practices, and the role of women in Kosovo society, all in relation to inheritance and property rights, and the reasons for women abstaining from inheritance. This is one of the main reasons why the study gains relevance, and by such study, I shallmake an effort to present the current condition and current conduct of women in inheritance issues, also based on the awareness of existence of laws which protect and allow for full action. The diploma thesis also gains in relevance in terms of raising awareness, starting from government institutions and down to the citizens overall, but female gender specifically, in improving sensitivity of cases related to gender issues and property inheritance.
