    The Natura 2000 Management Programme for the period 2023–2028 (PUN) is a program by which Slovenia ensures the conservation of Natura 2000 sites. It thereby fulfils the obligations from the ... directives and legal practice of the EU (Habitats Directive and Birds Directive). The conservation of Natura 2000 sites covers the conservation of the favourable status of plant and animal species, their habitats and habitat types. It is ensured by measures to achieve conservation objectives, which are measures under the Nature Conservation Act and measures under other regulations that can contribute to the conservation of Natura 2000, which also include various forms of conservation based on contracts and plans for sustainable management of natural resources. The PUN determines detailed conservation objectives and conservation measures or guidelines for achieving them (set of measures determined by legislation). The detailed conservation objectives for each individual Natura 2000 sites are set out in Annex A, and the conservation measures in Annex B. The PUN further regulates integration of professional content into legal measures, administrative measures, contractual measures, and in most cases, integration into the system of other planning. Plans are set out in Annex D. Measures of adapted agricultural practice, through which a favourable status of species and HT on agricultural land is ensured, are subject to inclusion in CAP interventions 2023-2027, which is stated in Annexes B and E. The PUN also sets the framework for drawing EU funds in accordance with the provisions of the European Cohesion Policy Program in the period 2021-2027, the CAP Strategic Plan 2023-2027 and the EMFAF (for the period 2021-2027), in parts that refer to Natura 2000 sites, defined in more detail in Annex C. The PUN Annex F contains a list of planned monitoring and research. The PUN was adopted by the Government of the Republic of Slovenia in October 2023.
