  • Engineering analysis of crosslinking polymerization of diallyl isophthalate

    A great part of research activities in the last twenty years weas oriented on the difussion limitations in the radical polymerisation and its influence on the kinetics and final properties of ... material. This problem lead us to a development of a kinetic model of radical crosslinking polymerization of diallylisophthalate (DAIM) with initiator dicyclohexyl peroxydicarbonate (CHPC). The experimental data of [C=C], [C=O] and the kinetic model were compared to determine diffusion parameters ad a function of conversion. refractive index and density measurements were also attended during cure and correlated with monomer conversion.
