  • The exposure to the VR environment and prospective teachers’ opinions about it [Elektronski vir] : a pre- and post-exposure analysis

    The present article investigates the opinions of prospective teachersregarding virtual reality (VR) and their willingness to incorporate it intotheir future profession. The study employs a pre- and ... post-exposureanalysis to explore the impact of VR experience on prospective teachers’opinions about VR technology on a sample of 67 Slovenian prospectiveteachers. The findings reveal that a majority of participants had notpreviously tried VR technology. The pre-experience opinions indicatelimited familiarity with VR, neutral views on the enhancement of motiva-tion and future usage in their jobs, and positive attitudes towards VR’spotential applications in education. However, concerns about the cost ofVR technology and its potential for isolating users from the real worldwere evident. The post-experience opinions are analysed to determineany shifts in participants’ attitudes after the VR experience. The studyprovides insights into prospective teachers’ opinions regarding VR andoffers suggestions for further research.
