    Propagation of cracks in concrete is very important for deeper understanding of degradation processes and future healing mechanisms of historical objects. Classic methods for investigation of ... porosity proved to be useful for determining the cracks distribution, but not for determining their morphology and interconnection. Aiming to develop new method for concrete self-healing, it is crucial to determine the limits of method based on bacterial propagation inside the cracks. We have performed Xray computed tomography (CT) on samples with and without bacteria. The results were compared with the surface morphology characterized by scanning electron microscopy.
