  • La fauna ittica del fiume Livenza = The fish fauna of Livenza river : (North Eastern Italy)

    In this study has been exposed results on fish communities that occur in Livenza river and in some of its most important tributaries. In stations investigated, beside the analyses on fish ... populations, chemical and physical parameters and the conditions of river environment were also investigated. River environment, in the stations investigated, resulted to be in good conditions and also biodiversity of fish communities observed were fairly good. On the other hand the abundance of the communities resulted very low. This fact lead us to investigate data obtained with fish management on Livenza river in years preceding our study. The fish management expected also repopulation of marble trout (Salmo [trutta] marmoratus), the species in hard numerical decrease in Livenza river as also in other water courses of Friuli Venezia Giulia region.
