  • Flexural behaviour of latex-modified fiber reinforced concrete
    Šušteršič, Jakob ...
The texural behavior has been estimated by evaluation of rcsults obtaned by the three-point bcnding test on the beams which had nominal cross section of 150 x 150 mm and lOOx 100 mm, the span lengths ... were 500 mm and 300 mm, and notch depths were 25 mm and 33 mm. Estimative parameters determined according to RILEM TC 162-TDF: flexural strength at limit of proportionality (ffct.n) and residual equivalent strengths (feq.2and feq.3)have been obtained from 10ad-detection curves. Estimation of flexural behavior was carried out by the correlation between these parameters alone, as well as by the correlation between these parameters and the results of compressive strength (ffcm). In all mix proportions, following materials are used: Portland cement CEM IVA-S 42.5 R, styrene-butadiene copolymer latex (SBL) was added at a rate of O, 5 and 10 percent by mass of solid particles with regard to cement content, fractions of gravel aggregate with a grading of O- 4 and 4 - 8 mm, hooked steel fibres with length of 16 mm and with diameter of 0.5 mm, and polypropylene fibres with length of 10 and 30 mm. A high-range superplasticizer is added in the mixture without SBL, in which silica fume is added too. On the base of the evaluation, it was found that the greatest ffct.n/ffcmas well as feq.2 and feq.3 reached LM-SPFRC with SBL at a rate of 1O w. % of solid particles. SBL has significant influence on tough post-crack behavior ofLM-FRC.
