  • Modeling and optimizing of processes by the use of genetic methods

    The paper discusses the possibilities for modeling and optimizing of mathematical models of various systems and processes by the use of genetic methods. If mathemetical model is alredy known, only ... optimization of process parameters is necessary. If mathematical model is unknown, it has to be found uot. Realization of an integrated GP-GA system for modeling and optimizing of mathematical models of various systems and processes is presented. Modeling is based on genetic programming (GP), while optimizing on genetic algorithm (GA). Because of the generality of the GP-GA system, and particularly of its GP sub-system, it can be effectively used in various domains (physics, biology, mechanical engineering, power engineering, civil engineering, automation, computer sciences, economy, etc.). The paper is concluded with a practical example showing the genetic evolution of the mathematical models (computer programs) for forming efficiency.
