    Numerical simulations of sheet metal forming processes, based on finite element method are widely used worldwide. Emphasis is given to the use of numerical simulation in tool manufacturing companies. ... Many Slovenian tool manufacturing companies are using numerical simulations to study complicated forming processes. Experiences are presented on industrial example - progressive tool developed in one of Slovenia's most successful and advanced tool manufacturing company. Reliability of the results, costs, benefits, and times required for performing numerical simulations are evaluated.
