    The design stage for the DUMAND II undersea neutrino detector is essentially completed, and construction is in progress. The first deployment, anticipated for spring 1993, will involve laying the ... cable, establishing a sonar field for survey purposes, and deploying the junction box with one string of 24 phototubes. If performance is satisfactory, two additional strings are to be deployed later in the year. The full nine-string array can not be deployed prior to 1994. Optical module design, trigger strategies, and the hardware and software to implement the latter are discussed.
