  • Synthesis of ordered nanostructured CuO-CeO [sub] 2 catalysts by hard template method

    This study focuses on the hard template synthesis method, which was used to prepare CuO-CeO2 mixed oxide catalysts with 10, 15 and 20 mol % CuO content. KIT-6 silica template was synthesized using a ... TEOS/Pluronic P123 ratio of 60 and aging temperature of 100°C. After template removal by NaOH etching, CuO-CeO2 solids exhibited ordered mesoporous structure, which was identified by N2 adsorptionl desorption and XRD analyses as a cast of the KIT-6 silica mesostructure. BET surface area oftested materials was in the range of 147-166m2/gand average CuO particle size between 1.3 and 1.9 nm. High activityand selectivity (over 99 %) of these solids was achieved during WGS reaction in the temperature range from 250 to 450°C.
