  • The significance of the rural web for rural tourism development : the case of Goriška Brda region, Slovenia

    Active rural web has evident implications on rural tourism development. In this paper we interweave three concepts to address very complex issue of rural tourism: (1) the concept of countryside ... capital is supplemented by (2) the concept of social capital and upgraded with (3) the concept of rural web. Analysis of various factors of rural tourism development in Goriška Brda region (Slovenia) has demonstrated the positive impact of strong social capital on local community capacity building, being the starting point for activation of endogenous development potentials.
