    The main purpose of this contribution is to present phraseological units foundin children's and youth literary works by the Austrian writer Christine Nöstlinger, which are intended for young readers ... aged between 7 and 12. The analysis of her works shows that a great number of phraseological units are contextually explaines to achieve didactic purposes. The analysis also focuseson the translation aspect of phraseological units and the results show that they are translated as phraseological units, as paraphrases or as phraseological units without explanations.
