  • Tolerable traffic roadside equipment [Elektronski vir]

    Experinece shows that collisions involving vehicles and "unforgiving" roadsideobjects, such as treees, traffic signs, poles and other street furniture, belong among the major causes for traffic ... deaths on the national and international level. Alternatives that could reduce the number of fatalities are available. Siting and design off-road objects can play a major role in reducing the number and severity of collisions and their consequences.This isparticularly important in bends and junctions where skidding is likley to occur. In the paper some experiences in using tolerable traffic roadside equipment will be presented. The use of tolerable traffic roadside equipment is quite modest although it is available.
